Vintage Trevor James hand-colored lithograph titled "FRANCE: Armes du temps de Henri II", depicting French armor and weaponry from the 16th-century reign of King Henry II. The central focus is a beautifully detailed half-armor suit featuring an etched closed burgonet helmet and a cuirass adorned with fine Renaissance filigree and a classical face motif. Arranged symmetrically around the armor is an assortment of period-accurate combat gear, including a long musket with a tasseled powder horn on the left, a sweeping rapier sword below the torso, and an elegant fluted mace, a stiletto dagger, and a large ceremonial spear on the right.
