Three long … Read more This Louis XV style commode has the full, swelling bombe silhouette of the finest French rococo case pieces. Three long drawers are veneered in a richly figured golden burl and framed by heavy cast gilt metal mounts, including female mask corner mounts, scrolling foliate handles and escutcheons, a central apron cartouche and sabots on the gently splayed cabriole legs. A shaped dark marble top completes the piece. The commode dates to the 20th century and was made in the 18th century French taste. See less
