The tree's branches, stems, and leaves are crafted from carved natural stones, including dark green jade or serpentine for the leaves, and the blossoms are formed from agate, crystal, and other semi-precious stones. The flowers feature a mix of colors, including white, pale yellow, pink, and vibrant orange-red, with delicate beaded wire stamens. The trunk is textured to resemble aged bark and is set into a bed of multicolored polished pebbles. The planter itself is a cylindrical cloisonné enamel pot with a vibrant blue ground, decorated with scrolling floral and foliate motifs, including a prominent pink lotus or chrysanthemum blossom and green leaves, with a gilded rim and base. This is a highly decorative piece, ideal for a console table, desk, or collector's cabinet.
