The box features a romantic heart form with a fitted lid, crafted from a copper body using the "silver-blue" technique, where a thick layer of silver is applied beneath the enamel to create a uniquely luminous, jade-like depth. The exterior is richly decorated against a deep, mottled red ground with vibrant, hand-painted floral motifs: colorful blossoms and leaves in blue, green, yellow, and purple, connected by scrolling wire vines and outlined with distinctive white dotted wirework. The interior of the box and the underside of the lid are also glazed in the same deep red enamel, with a small floral spray on the inside of the lid. The rims are finished with polished metal.
