Each vase features a classic baluster form with a flared mouth, a waisted neck, a broad, rounded shoulder, a tapering body, and a splayed foot. The exteriors are richly decorated against a deep sapphire blue ground that is densely patterned with a fine, scrolling gilt wire cloud motif. The main body is adorned with vibrant, hand-painted green dragons with detailed scales, horns, and claws, surrounded by stylized blue cloud scrolls and red flame motifs. The neck features a cluster of light blue stylized clouds, and the foot is decorated with a band of colorful lappets. The rims and bases are finished with polished gold gilding, and the interiors are glazed in a bright, solid turquoise blue. A highly decorative and impressive pair, ideal for display or as a meaningful gift.
