The box features a flattened, oval form with a fitted lid and a bright gold-gilded rim. Crafted from a copper body with intricate wire inlay , the exterior is decorated against a glossy white ground with a vibrant, hand-painted design of red and orange blossoms with detailed petals and golden centers, surrounded by large, veined green leaves. This version features a "silver-blue" technique, where a thick layer of silver is applied beneath the enamel to give it a uniquely luminous, jade-like depth. The interior of the box and the underside of the lid are glazed in a deep, rich cobalt blue. The rims are finished with polished gold gilding. A highly decorative and collectible piece, perfect for storing small treasures or displaying as part of an Asian art collection.
