A rare mid-century Model 645 lounge chair designed by Lewis Butler for Knoll Associates, circa 1955. The chair features Butler’s distinctive architectural construction, pairing a light-toned wood frame with contrasting dark wood back panels and a sharply reclined, exceptionally elegant profile.

Comes with original cushions in original Knoll fabric.

The open rectilinear frame, exposed wood construction, and layered back panels give the chair a sculptural presence from every angle. Separate removable seat and back cushions soften the geometry while preserving the clean, modernist silhouette.

An excellent example of early American modernism and a particularly striking piece for a living room, study, or collected interior.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The wood frame is structurally sound, with a few small chips and minor surface marks consistent with its age. Removable cushions are included.
