Titled “Hidden River,” the composition follows luminous blue-green water between rocky banks, slender trees, and foliage touched with warm amber and gold.

Expressive strokes and raised passages of paint give the landscape depth and movement. Cool reflections contrast beautifully with the earthy browns and autumnal highlights, creating a tranquil scene with a lively painterly surface.

Signed “E. Briante” in orange-red at the lower right. Presented in a substantial gilt-finished frame with fluted molding, decorative corner ornaments, a beaded inner border, and a cream fabric liner.

The reverse retains a label from The Farkas Corp., AAA Distributors, Beverly Hills, identifying the artist and the title “Hidden River.” The title is also inscribed on the stretcher.

An inviting original landscape for a library, bedroom, or collected living room, with a vertical format well suited to a narrow wall or gallery arrangement.
