Sobota, circa 1970s to 1980s. The set includes an extension dining table, two leaves, and nine chairs.

THE TABLE
The top is burl wood veneer laid in a parquet pattern and framed with a black lacquer border. The base has straight Ming-style legs with hoof feet and shaped corner brackets. The table measures about 76" long x 46" wide x 30" high. Each leaf is 46" x 18", and with both in place the table extends to about 112" and seats up to 12.

THE CHAIRS
Six side chairs and two armchairs with yoke backs and a carved fret design, plus one accent chair with a carved medallion back. All are black lacquer with loose seat cushions in a rust woven fabric.

CONDITION
The set is solid and sturdy, with no loose joints on the table or any chair. It shows cosmetic wear consistent with its age:
- Both leaves have heavy scuffs and some finish loss, and are darker than the main top
- Light scratches on the table top and scuffs on the black border
- Lacquer wear at the base of the table legs
- Minor scuffs on every chair, a few small chips on seat rails, and a chip in the finish on one armchair arm
- Stains on three seat cushions, which lift off and are simple to re-cover

No maker's mark was found, so the attribution is based on the design. Please review all photos, which show the wear up close.
