Stunning pair of bronze vintage candlesticks holders by Swedish award designer signed Sig P. 1960s.
Sigurd Persson was a Swedish sculptor, blacksmith and professor,born in 1914 and died in 2003. He is considered one of the most significant Swedish designers of the 20th century.
His designs can be found in many museum such as the MoMA, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
These item are heavy, made of solid brass. They are in very good condition with minor colour changes or patina and hardly any signs of use, as you can see on the pictures they still have their original stickers.
