Vintage 1950s Persian Hamadan Rug with Floral Design
This exquisite hand-knotted Persian Hamadan rug, dating back to the 1950s, showcases the robust craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic of one of the Middle East's most storied weaving regions. The vibrant madder-red field is densely populated with a traditional all-over Herati pattern, featuring stylized floral motifs and delicate leaf work in a sophisticated palette of midnight blue, ivory, and soft earth tones.
The composition is framed by a striking geometric border that provides a grounding contrast to the fluid, organic interior. Its low, even pile offers a charming vintage character that collectors and interior designers covet for adding instant warmth and history to a space. Whether placed in a contemporary loft or a classic study, this durable, hand-spun wool piece serves as a soulful anchor for any room.
