Crafted from a copper body with intricate wire inlay, the cylindrical pot is beautifully decorated with vibrant, hand-painted floral and insect motifs. The design features large, lush peony blossoms in pink and yellow with detailed petals and red stamens, surrounded by broad, veined green leaves, a small red and orange butterfly in flight, and stylized rocks and grasses near the base. The decoration is set against a deep cobalt blue ground densely patterned with a fine, scrolling gilt wire cloud motif. The rim is bordered by a decorative band of colorful lappets. The interior is glazed in a bright, solid cobalt blue enamel. The rims and base are finished with polished gold-toned metal. This set includes a dark wood display stand and a red fabric-covered presentation box with a gold dragon motif and white closures, making it an ideal gift or display piece.
