Charming vintage Italian ceramic flower frog, hand-painted in a cheerful palette of cobalt and soft blue with golden yellow floral motifs. Its rounded form features seven openings designed to hold individual flower stems, creating a petite floral arrangement with just a handful of blooms.
The expressive brushwork and variations in the glaze give the piece the character of traditional Italian decorative pottery. Beautiful displayed on its own, it becomes especially lovely filled with small garden flowers, herbs, or delicate stems.
The underside is hand-marked “Made in Italy” along with “V.B.” and additional artisan/workshop notation.
A wonderful accent for a kitchen, breakfast table, bedside table, or collected pottery display, with an especially pretty Mediterranean and European country feel.
