This commanding two-piece statement cabinet is a masterclass in high-end mid-to-late 20th-century craftsmanship, blending exceptional utility with sophisticated European flair. Superbly constructed from solid ash and oak. The cabinet features an intentionally distressed, rich warm brown finish that beautifully highlights the sweeping, organic flow of the wood grain. It has a beautiful bonnet top with a carved, sculptural pediment. Two upper doors feature traditional French provincial brass wire-mesh panels opening to reveal an interior with two shelves with deep scalloped fronts. The lower portion has a slanted lid that opens to reveal an elegantly organized interior gallery, complete with miniature drawers, open cubbies, and a dedicated writing surface. The bottom section features dramatic, undulating bombe-styled sides housing three deep, spacious storage drawers with ornate style heavy brass hardware. Excellent preowned condition with less than normal wear. See less
