The composition features several small boats floating on brilliant blue water, with a lively town square and rows of colorful multi-story buildings rising along the waterfront.

The artist used a warm Mediterranean-inspired palette of terracotta red, coral, ochre, cream, green and deep blue, with wonderful small details throughout—the boats, architectural facades, striped awnings, figures strolling along the quay, trees and distant buildings all contribute to the painting’s inviting atmosphere.
Signed by the artist in the lower right and dated 1990. The signature appears to read something similar to “Serd…” or “Serdri,” although I would list the artist as unidentified rather than risk an incorrect attribution.
The painting is executed in oil on stretched canvas and remains unframed, giving it a relaxed vintage European coastal look. An attractive decorative painting for a coastal, Mediterranean, traditional, Grandmillennial or eclectic interior. See less
