Tall masts and rigging rise dramatically against a softly painted blue-and-white cloud-filled sky, while a quiet coastal village stretches across the distant shoreline.
The foreground features a wooden dock and small rowboat, adding depth and wonderful maritime character. The artist’s straightforward, detailed treatment has the appealing quality associated with American folk and naïve coastal painting.
The work is unsigned and presented unframed on its original wooden stretcher. The stretcher bears manufacturer/inspection markings on the reverse.
A particularly attractive decorative piece for a coastal home, nautical collection, beach house, cottage or gallery wall. See less
