Unlike the previous abstract fragment, the imagery on this textile is clearly botanical and floral, with recognizable flowering plants, scrolling stems, leaves, and large blossoms extending across the surface. The surviving section has been carefully adapted into an elongated decorative pillow while allowing the centuries-old tapestry to remain the principal visual element.
The composition is dense and naturalistic, with large-scale flowers and leafy stems overlapping one another across the entire field. Several substantial blossoms dominate the lower portion of the textile, their rounded and layered petals surrounded by slender stems and elongated leaves. Additional botanical forms continue upward and toward both ends, creating the impression that this fragment once belonged to a much larger garden or verdure-inspired tapestry composition. The irregular arrangement is particularly attractive because the flowers are not organized into a rigid repeat; instead, the plants appear to grow organically across the textile.
Its beautifully subdued palette has a distinctly antique character. Shades of camel, warm beige, tan, taupe, tobacco brown, walnut, ochre, antique gold, muted rust, terracotta, dusty orange, deep forest green, dark teal, olive, faded sage, cream, and small touches of muted red appear throughout the weaving. Dark green stems and leaves provide definition against the predominantly warm neutral ground, while the softer ochre, beige, and brown flowers blend gradually into the surrounding field.
The tapestry front is woven in wool, giving the surface the substantial texture associated with historic European tapestry weaving. Variations in the yarn direction and density remain visible throughout the design and contribute to the handwoven appearance of the textile. The pillow is finished with a simple neutral cotton backing and is filled with feathers, allowing the historic textile to function as a decorative object while preserving its antique character.
