Kalmar in Vienna in the 1950s. The combination of the slender, black lacquered frame, the brass details, and the generous shade gives the design an elegant yet understated appearance.

The design is characterized by clear proportions and the deliberate interplay of different materials. While the delicate frame visually recedes into the background, the shade forms the focal point of the lamp. This creates a balanced harmony between decorative effect and functional restraint.

During restoration, the lamp was completely rewired and carefully cleaned. The shade was reupholstered and finished with cream and red silk ribbons. The fine pleating adds further depth and underscores the character of the design.
