The unusually slender construction gives the lamp a light, almost floating appearance despite its considerable size.

The chrome-plated metal arc is telescopically extendable and retractable, allowing the lamp's reach to be varied and adapted to different room layouts. The travertine base provides a deliberate counterpoint: its natural, porous surface contrasts with the gleaming chrome and simultaneously ensures the necessary stability for the wide, cantilevered structure.

In its design, the lamp draws on the experimental design language of Italian lighting design from the 1970s. In particular, the combination of a technically inspired construction and a sculptural approach to space is reminiscent of lighting designs by Goffredo Reggiani.

Thanks to its variable reach, the floor lamp is especially suitable as a light source next to a seating area or dining table. Its generous arched shape allows for lighting from above without the need for a ceiling connection directly above the desired area. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
