its architectural pediment unfolds with nobility: two scrolls frame an arch crowned by a finely turned ship's wheel, flanked by large double-ball urns. A maritime and renaissance theme lends the piece a unique and refined character.
at the heart of the cabinet, a beveled oval mirror set in a panel carved with incised scrolls and foliage gently captures the light. Six hammer-shaped hooks hold coats and hats, while two side rings are dedicated to umbrellas and walking sticks. The lower console shelf houses two drawers adorned with scallop shells carved in high relief, resting on turned baluster feet. The whole piece rests on a molded base with ball feet.
the amber patina of the wood, the slight cracks, and the wear consistent with age attest to its authenticity and antiquity.
