Beneath the skirt are four blackened wooden legs mounted on original, functional brass casters—an authentic detail from the period.

the frame dates from the napoleon iii era. The fabric, likely a synthetic silk or satin with a subtle sheen, was added during an earlier restoration dating from the 1960s or 1970s. It features a floral print on a chocolate brown background with motifs of daisies, peonies, and small white flowers with burgundy and ochre leaves.

sold as is: visible wear and pronounced fraying on both armrests, fringed hem, and slight stains on the seat. The frame is sound, and the shape is very decorative.
