Dimensions: 50 x 20 x 20 cm
Spectacular pair of amber-tinted glass jars with flattened, circular stoppers. These jars were traditionally used by apothecaries to store medicinal liquids. However, in addition to their functional use, they were decorated with paintings that typically served as frames for the names of the substances they contained, featuring intertwined plant motifs and purely ornamental geometric designs, as well as gold bands. This was especially true of porcelain jars. Currently, they are also used as decorative items or as jars for storing kitchen or even bathroom items.
