This unique and poetic mid-20th-century table salt and pepper shaker set stands out for its figurative and inspiring design. Comprising a pair of meticulously chiseled birds, crafted to recreate the texture of their plumage and the organic forms of the birds, the set rests on a metal stand with a central handle that resembles a woven wicker basket or nest.
Made entirely of silver-plated alpaca (German silver), the set retains an elegant, mirror-like shine with a subtle patina characteristic of the period. A refined table accessory, ideal for collectors of vintage silverware and tableware, as well as for adding a touch of distinction and sparking conversation at sophisticated dinner parties.
