A unique artistic bowl designed by Bertil Vallien for the renowned Swedish glassworks Kosta Boda. The piece dates from 1982 and was launched as part of the acclaimed ‘Galaxy Blue’ series, one of the artist’s most recognisable designs from the early 1980s.
The bowl is handcrafted from art glass and features an oval shape. Its distinctive frosted surface contrasts with the abstract, intensely blue pattern. The organic form and subtle colour palette are characteristic of the work of Bertil Vallien, one of the most outstanding contemporary glass designers.
The bowl is a perfect example of Swedish design from the 1980s and will be a valuable piece for collectors of art glass and enthusiasts of Scandinavian design. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
