Made of solid elm, this bench perfectly illustrates Pierre Chapo's work with wood and traditional joinery. Its deliberately understated lines highlight the material, with a wide top in beautiful warm tones and remarkable exposed joinery at the ends.

The structure rests on two legs connected by a long lower crossbar, giving the piece a silhouette that is at once light, graphic, and particularly robust.

The wood has a beautiful patina and pronounced grain. It is in good condition, with some marks, imperfections, and variations in color consistent with its age and use, visible in the photographs. These marks contribute to the piece's authentic character. See less
