The surface of the ceramic is coated with a matte glaze in a deep olive-green shade.

The lower sections of the bases are adorned with a rhythmic relief featuring geometric, ornamental patterns. The repeating motif is integrated directly into the ceramic surface, creating a subtle interplay of light and shadow. The combination of the matte, slightly rough surface with the relief decoration highlights the artisanal nature of the craftsmanship and places the lamps within the tradition of Scandinavian artistic ceramics from the 1960s.

The ceramic bases are complemented by simple fabric lampshades in an olive-mustard hue, whose wide lower edge balances the proportions of the slender lamp bodies.

The pair exemplifies Scandinavian decorative modernism, in which a functional lighting fixture takes on the character of a small ceramic object. Proportions, natural color schemes, and hand-finished surfaces—typical of Northern European utilitarian and artistic ceramics of this period—play a significant role here.
