Oil on canvas. Signed lower left G. Malvezzi. First half of the 20th century. The landscape features a flat countryside with a wide, calm river flowing through it. In the foreground are two horses pulling a cart, onto which a man is throwing shovelfuls, probably sand. Presented in a guilloché frame from the 1930s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
