There is some separation on the top due to its age and shrinkage typical for a panel and frame construction but it does not negatively effect the structure of the top. It has been raised to allow enough room for your knees clearance and it works perfectly well, both as a small dinning - kitchen table or a desk. Very functional and versatile .The top is fitted with two functional and deep drawers and each side of the table has an extension leaf allowing for more room as necessary. less
