Executed primarily in delicate red line with blue and black accents, the composition reflects Picasso’s recurring late-career themes of the artist, model and studio. Picasso explored the painter-and-model subject extensively in his graphic work of the 1960s.

The image bears a printed Picasso signature, date “3.1.66,” and Roman numeral “III” at the upper left. The date corresponds to January 3, 1966. Presented under glass with a wide linen mat in an attractive giltwood frame with red decorative inner border. See less
