The substantial frame is constructed from bundled and bent rattan with double-rail arms and an attractive arched support detail across the back.
Particularly nice is the woven rattan seat beneath the removable cushion, executed in an intricate geometric weave. This detail allows the chair to remain visually appealing even when the cushions are removed and speaks to the quality of its construction.
The chair retains its original fitted seat and rear cushions, upholstered in a softly textured neutral beige and celery green fabric that complements the warm honey-brown tones of the rattan beautifully. The relaxed proportions and gently angled back makes it equally suited to a living room, sunroom, screened porch or sophisticated costal interior.
A wonderful example of vintage rattan furniture with a timeless tropical-modern aesthetic. Its sculptural construction construction works especially well with Mid-Century Modern, Coastal, Palm Beach, Bohemian and British Colonial interiors. See less
