Artisan-crafted in France, the mirror has generous proportions and a richly decorative presence suitable for both traditional and more contemporary interiors.
The carved wooden frame is decorated with characteristic French motifs, including fleur-de-lis ornamentation, flowing garlands, floral details and balanced architectural mouldings. The frame has been professionally refinished in an antique-gold tone, highlighting the raised decoration and giving the mirror a warm, luminous appearance.
The elaborate crest forms the main decorative focal point. Two sculpted putti are positioned among floral and foliate ornamentation, holding an ornate curled fleur-de-lis element accented with flowers and grape clusters. The three-dimensional modelling gives the upper section an especially sculptural quality.
Surrounding the mirror glass is a distinctive black velvet border, which has been recently renewed. The deep black textile creates an elegant contrast with the gold frame and adds softness and visual depth to the design.
