This is an authentic vintage Hemingray No. 42 clear glass electrical insulator, produced for use on telephone, telegraph and utility lines. It features a classic double-petticoat profile, threaded interior, rounded drip-point base and embossed “HEMINGRAY-42” and “MADE IN U.S.A.” markings. Subtle aqua tint, bubbles and dark inclusions give the heavy molded glass appealing industrial character. Produced circa 1921–1960. Displays expected surface wear and residue from outdoor service. Made in U.S.A.
