An exceptional opportunity to own a perfectly matching pair of authentic mid-century Scandinavian modern art glass bulb vases from the legendary Gullaskruf Glasbruk.
Designed by the celebrated artistic director Arthur Percy for the historic Swedish glassworks, this iconic design (frequently referred to as the "Blomglas" or "Bulb" vase) dates back to the 1950s or 1960s. Both vases feature an elegant, sculptural silhouette with a perfectly bulbous onion base that narrows seamlessly into a long, dramatic, pencil-thin neck.
The deep cobalt blue glass catches and distributes ambient light spectacularly. This set features incredible cross-verifying factory details: one vase retains its original circular gold foil "Made In Sweden" export label on the shoulder, while the matching vase safely holds its original stacked "Gullaskruf Sweden" and "Handmade" gold foil stickers. Both pieces showcase beautifully ground and polished concave pontil marks on their bases, a true hallmark of premium, mouth-blown studio craftsmanship.
A sophisticated, highly collectible set that looks phenomenal flanking a fireplace mantel, styled on a console table, or balancing a mid-century sideboard.
