This elegant vintage covered jar is a beautiful example of cloisonné enamel artistry.
The body features a bright turquoise blue ground, exquisitely decorated with vibrant floral motifs, including a prominent pink and white peony blossom—a traditional symbol of wealth and honor—surrounded by green leaves and smaller yellow and blue flowers.
The intricate design is outlined in fine gilded wire, with a scalloped dark blue border detailing the shoulder and base.
The jar is topped with a matching domed lid featuring a gilt finial. This charming piece is perfect for displaying on a shelf or mantel, or as a captivating addition to any collection of Asian antiques and enamelware.
