The solid wooden frames feature straight, square legs anchored by a classic X-form cross-stretcher base that ensures excellent stability. The frames have been finished in a custom, deep navy/teal blue lacquer paint, handsomely accented by openwork fretwork corner brackets and geometric carvings.
The seats are upholstered in a heavy, tactile woven jacquard tapestry textile. The design features traditional East Asian narrative vignettes—including weeping willows, architectural pagodas, and calligraphic symbols—each individually framed within detailed cartouche borders. The fabric palette has charcoal, and soft olive-tan set against a patterned cream-and-gold basketweave ground. The borders are finished with a continuous row of antiqued brass nailhead trim. See less
