1950's Vintage Carl Falkenstein Hollywood Regency Tall Table Lamp with Jeweled crystal
This unique and rare vintage Carl Falkenstein Hollywood Regency table lamp from the 1950s, features a Mid-Century Modern design with an ornate brass base and an iridescent glass urn shaped body decorated with embossed swirls. Dangling Crystal prisms decorate the brass on the upper part. It has a 20” tall – 16” diameter Original scalloped lamp shade with 3 embroidered appliques. Unfortunately, the shade has some spots and tearing on it caused by old age, but the structure is solid and can be redone with new material and reusing the same appliques. This large accent lamp stands at 45" tall from the top of the shade down to the base. And is 14” in diameter. It has a corded electric source and a rotary knob control style.
The tall silhouette and rich decorative finish reflect the glamorous Hollywood Regency design style that was popular in interior décor during the mid-20th century.
Hollywood Regency lighting remains, still today, highly sought after, for its bold colors and luxurious decorative details.
