The warmth of the birch, the extraordinary movement of the grain, the restrained proportions, and the beautifully considered base all work together.

It is also furniture made to be genuinely useful. Generous drawer storage and handsome proportions allow it to move easily from a bedroom to an entry, living room, or guest room, bringing with it the depth and permanence that only an antique piece can provide.

Hand selected in and imported from England, this 19th century birch chest is an exceptional combination of beautiful timber and accomplished craftsmanship—a piece whose jaw-dropping color and grain may catch your attention first, but whose thoughtful construction gives you plenty of reasons to keep looking.
