The frame is made of wood and has a richly plastically decorated surface finish in gold. The gilded surface is patinated and slightly worn in places, which underlines its authenticity and historical character. The frame is decorated with classic motifs of flowers, palmettes, mother-of-pearl and volutes in the corners and along the longer sides. The delicate inner frame (so-called pearl belt) surrounding the cutout for the painting is also striking. The back is original, with significant traces of the original mounting of the painting. Suitable as a representative accessory for a gallery presentation, a historical interior, as a luxurious frame for a new artistic creation or as a frame for a mirror.
