The substantial low-profile drum form is constructed with a gently tapered, inverted-bowl silhouette and covered throughout the exterior with hand-cut, hand-laid tessellated coconut shell tiles. The natural shell varies from warm honey and amber to deep espresso, creating an organic mosaic with pronounced tonal and textural variation.

The center of the tabletop is fitted with a segmented patinated bronze medallion, composed of etched panels depicting stylized scenic and ornamental motifs. The bronze has a naturally varied brown and verdigris patina and is framed by riveted metal detailing that reinforces the table's exotic, architectural character.

Four substantial cast-metal supports extend down the sides of the drum and terminate in dramatically sculpted mythological claw or dragon feet. The articulated feet and strap-like mounting details provide a striking contrast to the natural coconut shell and give the table a substantial sculptural presence from every angle.

The combination of tessellated shell, etched patinated bronze, and cast-metal ornament places the table within the Organic Modern, Global Chic, Transitional, and Hollywood Regency traditions of late 20th-century luxury furniture. Its generous 38–39-inch diameter provides ample surface area while the approximately 20-inch height works particularly well with large-scale sofas and curved sectionals.

A versatile statement piece for Palm Beach, coastal, eclectic, transitional, contemporary, and global-inspired interiors, the table pairs particularly well with natural stone, linen, bouclé, raffia, exotic woods, lacquer, and other richly textured materials. Its round drum form is equally effective centered in front of a large sectional or positioned between lounge chairs.
