Titled “Mujer Mariposa,” or “Butterfly Woman,” this charming little 1960s work depicts a fantastical female figure with elaborate butterfly wings rendered in beautiful shades of red, gold, turquoise, blue, and green.

The print is beautifully detailed, with delicate etched linework combined with rich areas of color and texture. It is inscribed “A-7 Mujer Mariposa” in pencil lower left and signed “Vita Giorgi” in pencil lower right.

The work is beautifully presented under glass with a cream-colored fabric mat and a fabulous glossy orange Italian wood frame. The frame appears slightly redder in the photographs than it does in person. The bold orange molding complements the colors in the print beautifully and gives this small work a wonderful Mid-Century feel. Ready to hang and enjoy!
