Defined by its honest construction and sculptural simplicity, the piece features a substantial round seat hewn from a thick section of timber, raised on three sturdy splayed legs that provide excellent stability and a striking architectural profile.

The stool embodies the enduring appeal of rural French vernacular furniture, where utility and craftsmanship take precedence over ornament. The solid oak displays a deep, time-worn patina developed through decades of use, with visible grain, natural irregularities, and surface wear that contribute to its authentic rustic character.

Its compact proportions and robust construction make it exceptionally versatile. Equally suited as a stool, side table, pedestal for decorative objects, or accent piece, it brings warmth and texture to rustic, Wabi-Sabi, farmhouse, and contemporary interiors alike.

Presented in good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use consistent with its history, enhancing the piece's genuine country-house appeal. See less
