This unusually slender stand features a hexagonal form supported by six splayed bamboo legs, with graceful bent-bamboo arches and decorative openwork along the sides.

The bamboo retains its wonderfully mottled scorched or “tortoiseshell” finish, created by selectively darkening the natural bamboo to produce the distinctive patterned surface. The hexagonal top is constructed from narrow bamboo slats framed by substantial bamboo edging.

At just 8.5 inches deep and 25.75 inches high, the stand has an especially small footprint, making it ideal for displaying a plant, sculpture, vase, or other decorative object where space is limited. Its architectural silhouette also works beautifully as a standalone decorative accent.

The underside reveals traditional bamboo construction with individually joined elements and small pins or nails. The piece retains an attractive aged surface with expected variations, marks, and wear consistent with its age and use. The original surface has intentionally been preserved rather than refinished.
