The bottle features a flattened, rounded rectangular form with a short neck, a domed lid with a small finial, and a slightly splayed base. One side of the body is richly painted against a creamy white ground with a classic "Phoenix Wearing Peony" (凤穿牡丹) scene: a majestic phoenix with vibrant red, blue, yellow, and pink plumage, its long, flowing tail feathers intertwined with large, luxuriant peony blossoms in pink and yellow, surrounded by green foliage and ornamental rocks. The phoenix and peony are traditional symbols of prosperity, grace, and good fortune. The reverse side bears a two-character inscription in black calligraphy reading "清香" (Qing Xiang), which translates to "Clear Fragrance," a fitting motif for a snuff bottle, with a small blue floral spray at the shoulder. The base bears a four-character iron-red seal mark reading "乾隆年製" (Made in the Qianlong Period), indicating it is a vintage revival piece in the Qianlong style. This is a delicate and highly collectible piece.
