An elegant pair of signed Steuben crystal water goblets, shape #6401, designed during the Frederick Carder era and dating to circa 1929.
At an impressive 8 1/8 inches tall, these beautifully proportioned goblets were originally designed as water stems but are wonderfully suited to today's generous wine pours. The exceptionally clear crystal, slender stems and restrained Art Deco lines give them a timeless quality nearly a century after they were made.
Each glass bears an "S" Steuben mark on the underside of the polished foot.
And the crystal is extraordinary: gently clink the glasses together and they produce the long, clear ringing tone for which fine Steuben crystal is celebrated.
These are the remaining pair from a larger service and work beautifully as special-occasion wine or water goblets, wedding or anniversary glasses, or additions to an existing Steuben collection.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks noted. Please see photographs for details.
