Each substantial glass features a large bucket-form bowl with deep geometric cutting, including cross-cut diamond/oval motifs and vertical cutting below, raised on a short stem and heavy square foot. Polished pontil marks are visible on the undersides.

The form and construction are characteristic of British and Anglo-Irish rummers produced during the Regency period.

The glasses are closely matched but individually handmade, with subtle differences between them, most noticeably in the width and shaping of their stems. These variations give the pair the character expected of individually formed and finished period glass.

At approximately 7 inches tall, these are unusually substantial rummers with wonderful weight and presence.

Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. See less
