Measuring an impressive 22 inches across, this unusually large elongated platter is hand-painted in a rich palette of deep purple, lavender, blue and earthy tones, with intricate geometric and stylized decorative motifs characteristic of traditional Safi ceramics.

The substantial dimensional form and bold scale make this particularly effective as wall art. It can also be displayed horizontally on a large table, console or stand. Its unusually large, elongated form is far less commonly encountered than the round bowls, chargers and plates typically associated with Safi pottery.

Handcrafted and hand-painted in Morocco, circa late 20th century.

Dimensions: 22" W × 15" H × 5" D.

Excellent vintage condition with minor variations inherent to handmade pottery. Please see photographs for details. See less
