A French Art Deco side table from the 1950s, where structure and ornament meet in balance.
The base is hand-wrought in iron, shaped with a sense of movement that feels both deliberate and fluid. Each curve carries the mark of the maker, the gilded finish catching light in a way that shifts throughout the day, subtle, but never static. The form is architectural in its stance, yet refined in its execution.
Above, a custom green marble top introduces weight and contrast. Its surface, naturally varied with soft veining, is finished with an eased edge that tempers the stone’s solidity. The result is a top that feels substantial without appearing heavy, resting effortlessly within the framework below.
Sold and priced individually.
Condition: Great vintage condition, with a soft, natural patina to the gilt iron base. The polished marble top was custom fabricated by our skillful team of restorationists.
