Originally created for the SS France ocean liner, the piece carries that sense of movement—design made not just for rooms, but for interiors in motion.

A square composition, defined by contrast. Frosted glass panels soften the light, their scalloped edges introducing a gentle rhythm. Around the perimeter, darkened bronze elements rise in a repeated cadence, held in place by a twisted gilt bar that runs continuously across the surface.

There’s a clarity to the structure, but also a sense of layering—materials working against each other: matte and reflective, soft and precise. Mounted close to the ceiling, it casts an even, ambient glow.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, with minor surface wear consistent with age. The bronze framework shows a gentle, even patina. This fixture has been professionally rewired by our team of restorationists. Accepts four E12 candelabra base light bulbs. See less
