A French stone pedestal from the 1960s, drawing on classical column forms.
Carved from solid stone, the form rises from a square plinth into a fluted column, its proportions kept low and substantial. The surface carries a soft, chalky patina, with areas of natural wear and subtle green mossing that give the piece a sense of age and exposure.
A rounded capital tops the column, creating a platform for display while maintaining the continuity of the form. Well suited for sculpture, ceramics, or a plant—any piece that benefits from a defined base and a quieter, architectural presence.
Condition: This pedestal is in good vintage condition, with surface wear throughout, including edge wear, areas of natural patina, and visible mossing to the base. It is constructed in three stacking pieces.
