This is "The Rescue," a wonderfully detailed dramatic portrayal of an Indian brave rescuing an Indian woman. He reaches down to seize her hand. If he can grab her he'll haul her up and the woman will be saved. Pictures do not do justice to this fine sculpture.
This sold for $1250.00 at issue. The secondary market has been disappointing the last few years, so we are pricing this at much lower tan we originally paid. Since it is now a closed edition, we do feel that it may be a piece that appreciates in value in the future.
This piece is mounted on a beautiful wood base. It is a size that can find a place anywhere.

Maker: Chilmark.
Artist: Don Polland.
Medium: Pewter sculpture on a wood base.
Size: It stands 7 inches tall, including the base. The base is 7 inches across at the widest point. It is a bit over 6 inches deep.
Markings: The signature in gold lettering has worn a bit. It is dated and signed at the outer edge of the bottom . In anothr place it is numbered 2179 out of 2500.
It is in Excellent Condition with only minimum wear on both pieces.
